This thing's released now, I guess
This game's released now I guess, so what better way to celebrate finally releasing a game (after failing to do so for the past year and a half) than by being impressed at the sheer fact that this exists as a completed project, and not just an idea cancelled before it could really even get started.
It started with a robot model I made in blender. It was a great design, and was created entirely from my mind, without any external references. I was really proud of it. Eventually, a few months later, after one failed prototype using the model itself, I had the idea of converting the model to 2D art and using that in a game. Initially, I created a pixel-art rendition of it, but I decided that HD graphics were the way to go. The sprite came out great, and after that the game just fell into place.
Being the only thing occupying my time, I worked for quite a while, working hours each day on this game. Eventually, it was done. I powered through, and I managed to finish a game without losing interest.
I am very glad at this thing's existence, and I hope that it is at least a decent game. However it turned out, this game has been a nice experience.
